TEG-H is investigating the planning system as it affects the wind farm proposal for Helensburgh and area.

Preliminary evidence suggests that the proposal conforms to some planning provisions, is contrary to some provisions, and is as yet uncertain with regard to other aspects.

Central points are :
  • The planning system exists to safeguard public welfare.
  • This proposal could have important long-term implications.
  • Some planning factors which might affect this wind farm proposal require further investigation.

The developers have made some planning information available, but they have been selective. We seek to fill gaps.
